A Little About Me & My Family

Hi there! I’m Marissa, and welcome to SensoryCozyCorner.

I started this blog because I know firsthand how challenging—and sometimes overwhelming—life can be when you’re raising a child with sensory needs.

I’m a proud mom to an incredible little boy who is autistic, non-verbal, and also experiences Pica. Every day brings its own set of challenges, from finding ways to calm him when he’s overwhelmed to keeping him safe and engaged. It’s not always easy, but it’s filled with so much love, growth, and those tiny, magical moments that make it all worthwhile.

Through this blog, I want to create a safe, cozy space for families like mine. A place where you can find:

• Practical tips and strategies for sensory support

• Honest insights into the ups and downs of parenting a child with autism

• Amazon finds and tools that have helped us (and might help your family too!)

• Inspiration, encouragement, and a little sense of calm in a sometimes chaotic world

I started SensoryCozyCorner because I wish there had been a space like this when I was searching for support and advice. I want you to feel seen, understood, and inspired when you visit here.
