He also has food sensory processing difficulties, so he rarely eats different foods and prefers soft foods like cereals that are not too chunky but soft enough for him to swallow. For us, mealtime can be a bit repetitive as he likes foods that he is used to and if not eating it and trying "new" foods, he may gag and not want to eat at all. So for us we offer sometimes the same foods to at least get him something in his tummy.
